Continuous Casting:
Preparation of material for licensing processes
Coquille development and determination of production parameters
Optimisations in the entire smelt-metallurgical
Process chain including fireproof technology and automation
Alloys:
Material development (all groups from 1xxx to 7xxx)
Coverage from “Cast – Forged – Polished – Lead – Thixo – Composite”
Preparation of tailor-made sizes
Optimisation:
Optimisations of the cast materials with regard to mould filling, abrasion (tool wear) and deformability
Together with user, making optimisations in production with regard to grain refinement, finishing, metal quality (incursion, blowhole)
Adjustment of standard materials to special customer requirements (tolerances, target values, special alloy specifications)
Heat Treatment / Metal Forming:
Performing solution annealing, quenching and exposure tests on components and semi-manufactured products
Evaluation through macro and micro structure investigations
Investigating the influence of heat treatment on technological properties (e.g. corrosion)
Testing and use of aluminium materials in cold solid and heat transforming.
