SILAFONT®-13
SILAFONT®-13 is a near-eutectic aluminium-silicon alloy manufactured from virgin aluminium, with excellent mould filling and good flow properties. It can be injected well and exhibits no tendency to warm cracking. It can therefore be processed in all known mould casting processes. For processing in mould casting, the alloy can also be supplied with permanent strontium modification.
 
SILAFONT®–13 is a universal alloy for complicated, pressure-tight, vibration and impact-proof cast parts. The low iron content has a beneficial effect on the technological properties. This improves ductile yield and impact toughness.
 
SILAFONT®–13 can be welded well and can be processed and polished well.
On request, we can supply SILAFONT®-13 under-eutectic (silicon up to 11.7%) or with a near-eutectic composition (silicon from 12.7 – 13.4%). Please talk to us about your application!
