SAG’s presence in North America
SAG México is a subsidiary of Salzburger Aluminium Group and an international supplier of aluminium and steel components for the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. The company supplies customers in Mexico and the United States of America.
The product range covers fuel and oil tanks, air reservoirs, air pressure tanks and special products. SAG México has locations in the Mexican states of Mexico and Nuevo Leon.

History
1971: Founding year of the original company Mecasa. From the very beginning, Mecasa was specialised in the production of original and spare parts for the automotive industry.
2008: Majority takeover of Mecasa by the SAG Motion Group, renamed “SAG Mecasa”.
2009: Opening of the plant in Santa Catarina/Nuevo León and start of production for BMW as Tier I
2015: Start of production with air accumulators for brake systems for FTL (DTNA) as Tier I
2016: 45th Anniversary
2017: 100% takeover by SAG Motion and renaming as “SAG México”.
2018: Production start for FCA as Tier I
2019: Start of production for Ford as Tier II
2020: Relocation of offices and production to a new plant in Tlalnepantla. Start of production for General Motors as Tier II.
