5.1 What are cookies?

Cookies make websites more user-friendly and efficient for the user. A cookie is a small text file used to store information. When visiting a website, the website may place a cookie on the visitor’s computer. If the user visits the website again later, the website can read out the data from the previously stored cookie and thus determine, for example, whether the user has visited the website before and in which areas of the website the user was particularly interested.

More information about cookies can be found at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP-Cookie

5.2 How can I change the cookie settings?

How the web browser handles cookies, which cookies are accepted or rejected, can be set by the user in the web browser settings. The exact location of these settings depends on the respective web browser. Detailed information can be accessed via the help function of the respective web browser.

If the use of cookies is restricted, all functions of this website may no longer be fully usable.

Our website processes the following cookies:

– CookieConsent: Used to store your consent to the use of cookies.

5.3 What is Google Analytics?

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). We have a processing agreement with Google for this purpose.

When you visit our website, software connects to Google’s servers and transfers data to Google’s servers, some of which are located in the United States. Google Analytics also uses cookies to store information about website users and to help the website analyze how users use the site.

This website uses the “IP anonymization” function. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus made anonymous. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

According to Google, Google will use the data collected to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Detailed information on the handling of user data by Google Analytics can be found in the data protection declaration of Google https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ or https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/600….

The processing of your data primarily serves to initiate, maintain and process our contracts for goods and services. If you do not provide us with your data, we cannot enter into a business relationship with you.

7. Processing of applicants’ data

The processing of your data serves the handling of the application procedure. If you do not provide us with your data, we will not be able to process your application.

8. Information on the use of social plug-ins

SAG uses so-called social plugins of the social networks Xing, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube on its website. With Youtube, the embedding function is used to display and play videos. The extended data protection mode is used here, which according to the provider only initiates the storage of user information when the video(s) is/are played. If the playback of embedded Youtube videos is started, the provider uses “Youtube” cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to information provided by “Youtube”, these cookies serve, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive practices. Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played or not, each time this website is accessed, a connection is established to the Google “DoubleClick” network, which can trigger further data processing operations without our influence. Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

8.1 Facebook Pixel

This website uses Facebook Pixel, a web analysis service of Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) on the legal basis of overriding legitimate interest (website usage analysis). We have concluded a contract with Facebook for order data processing. Some of the data will be transferred to the USA. The data will be transferred to the USA on the basis of the Privacy Shields. When you access our website, software is used to establish a connection to Facebook’s servers and data is transferred to Facebook’s servers, some of which are located in the USA. Facebook Pixel also uses cookies to store information about the website user and to analyze the use of the website by the website user. According to Facebook, Facebook will use the information collected to evaluate website usage, compile reports about website activity, and provide other services related to website and Internet usage. Facebook may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Facebook’s behalf. Detailed information on how Facebook handles user data can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy.

If necessary, SAG processes personal data for the duration of the business relationship (initiation, processing and termination of a contract), for the duration of the consent, in accordance with the statutory duties of storage and documentation or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. However, the storage period also depends on the statutory limitation periods, which as a rule can be 30 years and in some cases only 6 months.

After complete execution of a contract, in the event of a revocation of consent or objection, personal data will therefore be deleted in principle, unless further storage is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
