SAG wins GreenTech Award 2020/21

The Salzburger Aluminium Group was recently ranked among the top 5% of companies as a “Leading Innovator” at the GreenTech Awards 2020/21 and was awarded with a special prize. The reason for this is the company’s numerous patents for innovations that make a significant contribution to climate protection, such as the cryo tank technology developed in Lend for LNG-operated trucks.

Every year, the ÖGVS (Österr. Gesellschaft für Verbraucherschutz GmbH) awards prizes to Austrian companies and research institutions whose inventiveness demonstrably contributes to climate protection or which enable adaptation to climate change through new ideas. The study focused on the number of patents granted to Austrian companies in the patent class CPC Y02 “Technologies or Applications for Mitigation or Adaption against Climate Change” in the period 2017-2020. The ÖGVS search covered all patent offices worldwide. The basic parameter patent number was rounded off and condensed into a score value by the qualitative moment of citation frequency. Special award winners are the best 5% of all ranked companies.
