The Salzburger Aluminium Group (SAG) is an Austrian family-owned company that was created in 1992 through a management buyout by Dipl.-Ing. Josef Wöhrer from Aluminium-Industrie-Aktien-Gesellschaft (AIAG), which was founded as early as 1897. Since then, the company has grown continuously as a family-run business into a group with currently 1100 employees at 10 locations worldwide. The export share is 90 percent.

The company is one of the leading suppliers of aluminum tank systems and high-quality aluminum components for the automotive, commercial vehicle and railroad industries. With headquarters in Lend and Schwarzach/Salzburg, Vienna and eight foreign locations in Europe and Mexico, the company is internationally successful.

Individual consulting and product development, state-of-the-art production processes and intensive research into tank solutions for alternative fuels such as liquid hydrogen as well as the development of special casting processes such as rheocasting also distinguish the SAG Group as an innovation leader.

Its main customers are OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) as well as companies from the rail vehicle and special vehicle industries.
